Welcome to the Potomac Highlands Beekeepers Association
We are a community-based group of like-minded beekeeping enthusiasts. We are meeting on Thursday, September 8th, 2022 at 7 PM at the Volunteer Fire station 175 S. High Street in Romney, WV. We are currently looking for a permanent meeting location. We do not have a meeting in the winter months of November, December, and January. The first meeting of the year is in February. In addition to Hampshire County, WV, our members come from the surrounding counties of Mineral, Hardy, Grant, and Morgan in WV, as well as from PA and MD
The Potomac Highlands Beekeepers Association is a 501c3 tax-exempt non-profit organization.
If needed, a link to the IRS approval letter can be found on the References page.
At our monthly meetings, we discuss current beekeeping topics and often there are presentations on current beekeeping issues. Through the shared experience and knowledge of the group, the goal is to increase local beekeeping success in terms of colony survival and honey production. Prospective members are welcome to attend a meeting to see if the club will meet their objectives to begin their beekeeping and study.
Be sure connect with the PHBA and WVBA Facebook pages. Many ongoing topics and current events are covered in these groups.
